In this interview Danielle and Gabriela discuss what a prose poem is and what differentiates it from other prose. They talk about the layers of emotional truth and logistical truth and how poetry transcends them. Danielle shares her method for knowing when a prose poem (and poems in general) is complete. They also discuss the composition process and the importance of intentionally creating line breaks. Finally, they talk about the sensory component of prose poetry and how that affects the reading of it.
